Abide by the contract signed between Yüceler Kağıtçılık Ltd. and Akçansa Çimento San. Tic. A.Ş. on 20 May 2007, disposal of “Contaminated Wastes” and “Industrial Wastes” began at Akçansa Büyükçekmece Cement Factory.

By the said contract, our company was authorized to collect and transport the wastes within the determined criteria and to run the waste processing facility of Akçansa Büyükçekmece Factory.

Most of the wastes at Cement Factory are textile, wooden, oakum, and the like materials contaminated with oil, industrial plastic waste, and polymer waste. Unacceptable wastes are explosives, radioactive waste, abattoir waste, feces, cadavers and medical waste. Sewage sludge, paint sludge and PVC wastes, respectively  because of their moisture percentage over 10%, heavy metal content and high percentage of C1 content, are not acceptable either. 

Acceptance criteria and waste procedure determined by Akçansa apply to every type of waste that can be disposed by burning in cement furnaces. First of all, each type of waste is evaluated by our company and Akçansa. And then, a sample taken from the waste is put through necessary analysis at the laboratories of Akçansa Büyükçekmece Factory. For the analysis of some other waste types, authorized institutions might also be applied to. If the results of analysis meet the necessary requirements, wastes are taken from the producer and transported to the factory. After certain operations carried out at the factory, wastes are disposed by burning in cement furnaces.
