Chairman’s Message

I was born on June 10, 1956 in Tokat, Reşadiye. I completed my primary and secondary education in Tokat and attended teacher training school in Sivas. Then, I worked as a primary school teacher in Yedisalkım –a small village in Van, Gürpınar district– for about a year. In 1977, after majoring in Turkish Language and Literature, I graduated from İstanbul University. During my university years, I had had the chance to learn the details of paper waste business from my fellow citizens working at Cağaloğlu and its surroundings. So, in 1977, I started paper waste collecting business, which I had began to see myself qualified enough and had already gathered the support I needed. I sold the paper that I collected by a wheelbarrow from domestic refuses at Beşiktaş and Yeniköy to paper waste warehouses in Beşiktaş. When my father who had been working as a teacher got retired, he gave some of his post-retirement gratuity to me. I used this money for the advance payment of an Anadolu brand pickup that I bought with a twelve month installment plan, and the pickup to advance my business. For approximately a year, I continued paper waste collecting with the same method. Just after I finished paying all the installments of the pickup, I opened the first paper warehouse in Okmeydanı. And in this warehouse, with my respected business associate Muhittin Salman, I began to do waste paper business more professionally. After a while we sold our old pickup, bought a bigger truck, and expand our business.

As our company whose capital was our honesty got bigger and bigger, we decided to move to a larger place and rent a new warehouse in Bağcılar. This district provided us with so many opportunities. We were determined to invest everything we earn to our business and decided to develop our machine park in our facilities and invest in technology. In our facilities, 6000 tons of paper waste per month is collected from printing houses, markets, industrial organizations, organized industrial zones and municipalities; after being sorted by 80 of our employees, this waste is sold to paper/cardboard recovery facilities to be used as a raw material. In 2003, we began to run our plastic recycling facility. 400-450 tons of plastic per month is processed and turned into raw material (granules) to be used in production. In 2005, we were granted by MOEF with collecting and sorting license number 006. .

Investing everything we earn to our business, with the contentment of doing something useful for the environment, we aspire to furnish services in recycling business for many more years.
