| Public Waste Management In cooperation with İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality and İSTAÇ, we carry out the “Packaging Waste Management Application Plan” of İstanbul. | Recycling After the collection of recoverable papers, metals and plastics, we operate in the recovery of these materials. We will soon establish a new licensed facility to produce secondary raw material from plastics collected. We also keep on working for our activities to produce recovered paper and other materials from used paper. |
Social Responsibility We are in close cooperation with Lokman Hekim Health Foundation (LHSV), which is a non-profit organization operating since 1989. Together with LHSV and many other supporters, we collect recyclable waste from 4000 houses, offices, schools, hospitals, public enterprises and institutions all around İstanbul.. We collect all these wastes separately at source by means of recycling boxes and return them to the recovery system. |
| Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Environment and Forestry How much waste is generated in Turkey? State Institute of Statistics estimates of waste for 2003: Waste collected at 3018 municipalities (out of 3215) which receive solid waste service is 26.12 million tons and the average of waste on a daily basis is 1,38 kg per individual. According to another research dating 2004: 1889 municipalities (out of 1911) have received solid waste service. Total amount of solid waste collected is 24.24 million tons and 1.34 kg per individual. |
